Wow, I really can't believe that just two days ago I didn't like this. So far the only one I don't like is City Calls.
Dan's are the best, but All Fires is good too.

Carey Mercer is fantastic. In fact (short of Jeff Mangum) I can't think of anyone better to have made the album with Dan and Spencer. I downloaded it ages ago but haven't really listened to it enough. 'The Freedom' is greatgreatgreat destroyerry great though

I'm not too crazy about Swan Lake. I like all 3 fellas separate though. I had it on yesterday and I don't remember which song, but my dog friend did not like it. She looked scared of my speakers. Aw.

The album has been growing on me the past couple days. I can't wait to listen to it with my new headphones, whenever those arrive in the mail. They're late! I can't wait.
Merry Christmas, Destroyer people.

It's pretty good for what it is. I would probably like it more if someone played if for me and I had no idea what it was...and if Spencer Krug had nothing to do with it.

Who did Petersburg anyway? Is that the one that they all did together? It's one of my favorites.

It sounds like it started life as a Carey song to me.

Even though the cd does include the lyrics, they are not all correct. For instance, there is an obvious difference between the what the lyricbook says is the first lyric of "City Calls" and what Mercer is actually saying. Also, in "Are You Swimming in Her Pools?", I'm nearly positive that at least once, Krug is saying 'the [tigers/child] is the [tigers/child] I am SINGING to', rather than "seeing to", as the lyricbook suggests (and which, frankly, makes absolutely no sense). Finally -- I am not convinced that half of the supposed lyrics to "Shooting Rockets" are ever spoken.
