I wish he'd made a stop in Philadelphia! Hopefully I can make it to either the Baltimore or Brooklyn show. At the last Destroyer show I went to (in Philly at Underground Arts) right before he went on I just started recording a voice memo on my phone and got the whole set, and the quality wasn't half bad either for being in my pocket. But it ended up being kind of pointless because some blog (I think Brooklyn Vegan) release a more posh and professional recording of Destroyer's set the next day in New York. The sets are very similar, almost the same sequence and songs, just slightly different orders and the NY set had Sun in the Sky which he didn't play in Philly. If I go I'll do the same thing, though being this is solo compared to the full on band it might not come out as good.

Attended the show in Fargo last night. Setlist here: www.setlist.fm/setlist/destroyer/2016/the-aquarium-fargo-nd-6bfdde0a.htmlNot sure on the title on "Money," as it's a new song and he didn't allude to it's name. Glad to see "Boulevard of Sin" making its way back into the mix; here's hoping "It Ain't Easy Being A Baby" follows closely behind. Great show overall--new songs all felt short, but with some great lines as usual. I'm sure they'll sound different if he records them with the band. |

Saw him in Spokane the first night of the tour. Recorded on Voice Memo just to re-listen to the new songs. The written setlist includes 2 new titles that weren't played. They look like "I was a dreamer" and "Sometimes in the world". I wonder if one of them is "Money" - do you remember any lyrics? I'll see about uploading the Voice Memo. Right now it's just one 70 minute track that I've been blasting in my car.
Just posted some accumulated tidbits (vids from Spokane and Missoula) in the Share Goodies thread.
He seems to have played a couple more new songs at Spokane than subsequent shows. He's in a short hiatus now - I wonder if there will be different new stuff at the shows in November? Calgary is too far. Still hoping northwest dates will get added.
