Any chance of any Destroyer songs on it?
It's gonna kick ass no matter what, but more remade Goden Bridge songs and whatnot would own.

Which songs off of GOLDEN BRIDGE or IDEAS FOR SONGS would make for good New Pornographer fodder?
I'm sure everybody's waiting for "I, As McCarthy" but I'd love to hear an NP version of "Leave Little Fiddler (Alone)".
IDEAS FOR SONGS' songs don't really seem to lend themselves to the NP style as well, but "A Month in the Country" might do nicely.

They tend to take the simple, acoustic tunes and there aren't as many of them on GB after the two they've already done as on Ideas. And yes, I as McCarthy would be great but I just don't think it'll happen. I personally think the best one they could do is Nothing Against You (Bored Spectre), complete with Kurt's amazing drumming and the whole band singing the chorus (like in Cobras). Still waiting for someone to mention the obvious about them doing a remake of The Pornographers  |
